Explore Alto, a Diverse Sante Fe Park and Playground!

Alto Park (also known as Bicentennial) is a wonderful park along the river and it has lots and lots to keep your family entertained!  We headed straight for the playground, which is enclosed and had sunshades and benches.  We found a large variety of playground equipment (different sections of equipment for older and younger children), easy parking lot access, a drinking fountain and a green area to run outside of the playground.  We loved going right outside the playground to the green spaces (towards the tennis courts) and found a huge, gorgeous tree with a perfect picnic table underneath.  We snacked there and did some climbing on the tree. 

This park also includes tennis courts, a park shelter, barbeque grills, basketball courts, and an outdoor pool in the summer.

Per the website: Alto Park, a linear park alongside the Santa Fe River, offers both passive and active uses with close proximity to community amenities such as the Bicentennial Outdoor Swimming Pool (summer only), Mary Esther Gonzales Senior Center, the nearby Aspen Community Magnet School and NDI NM Dance Barns. With mature shade trees and connections to the regional Santa Fe River trail system, it is well-connected to local neighborhoods.

Bicentennial Outdoor Swimming Pool: The swimming pool is open from late May through Labor Day.
