Cost friendly Mexican food in a cozy, family friendly atmosphere.

If you’ve been to Garden City, Missouri before, you may have driven by Andale Amigos without ever knowing it was there. The bright green building is tucked away from the road but is worth finding. While the outside may look a little divey, the inside is quaint and brightly decorated. They even have live acoustic guitar music on select evenings!

If you want a big lunch for a great price, Andale Amigos is the place to go. Their lunch special is served everyday from 11:00-3:00 and offers hearty portions of enchiladas, tacos and more for $6-$9. You aren’t going to do much better than that!

If you arrive after 3:00, don’t worry. The dinner does not disappoint. Dinner portions of enchiladas, burritos, carne asada, arroz con pollo and more are enough to fill your belly and leave you a couple meals worth of leftovers! The restaurant also offers healthier options such as salads and grilled protein options. If you’ve got kiddos that aren’t the biggest fans of Mexican, don’t worry. Little ones can choose from smaller portions of nachos, tacos and other Mexican favorites but old standbys like chicken nuggets and grilled cheese are also available. All kids meals are $5 and include a drink and rice & beans or french fries.

While the restaurant isn’t huge, they aren’t usually too busy. (Don’t worry, they didn’t let their size get in the way of including a bar that can make killer margaritas!). The service is fast and friendly-just what you need when you have kids in tow! While there is no outdoor dining, they do have high chairs.

Our work in Baltimore is truly a family affair. Husband and wife, Matt and Katie, work together to head up our ambassador team in Charm City. Katie is a Maryland native and has lived in the state her whole life. She moved to Baltimore in 2007 after graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She has been working in the field of early childhood education as a teacher and family coach for the past 12 years. Katie also holds a Masters of Education in Literacy from Loyola University. She is passionate about giving kids and families the knowledge and tools that they need to thrive. Matt grew up in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore. As a city native, Matt is a great resource on all that the city has to offer. After months of helping Katie explore the city for her role at a Happy Active Family, he decided to put his love of writing to use and officially come on board as an ambassador. Matt and Katie have two girls, ages 5 and 7. They spend their weekends camping, hiking, or exploring other hidden gems in their area. Tap into their insider knowledge by downloading the app today!
