Blackwater Canoe Rental is a place to begin a canoe, kayak, or tubing experience!

This is a great stop for a boating day where the company does the work for you. Choose the best trip for your family to adventure on. The short experience is a 2-3 hour, 4-mile trip which is great to get a taste of the experience. The day canoe or kayak trip is 5-7 hours and 11 miles which is great for some more committed boaters. The tube trip is 3-4 hours and 4 miles and is nice and relaxing.

They offer a round-trip service so you will park your car and they will bring you up the river to the starting point. You then travel down the river and about halfway down you will hit the beautiful Blackwater State Park and can hop out and explore. You can also visit the restrooms and showers in the park to rinse off. At the end of your boating journey, you will return back to where your vehicle is parked.

There is lodging available if you would like to turn this into a weekend trip! It’s fun to try a few different activities. They have a store on-site to purchase anything you may have left at home. Make sure to bring a swimsuit and leave items that aren’t water-friendly in the car. This is a great place to experience nature and be active with the family as well as see an amazing state park!
