Byrd's Pecan Delights is the perfect place for a latte or lunch!

If you’re looking for good old-fashioned food in an adorable café atmosphere, look no further than Byrd’s Pecan Delights. The restaurant’s name comes from owner Jennifer Cassady’s grandfather’s dream to grow and sell the best pecans around. He bought a pecan farm in 1964 and the rest is history. Today, Jennifer uses the pecans from her family’s farm in her signature pecan dishes.

The restaurant has an adorable rustic café vibe that will make you want to sit and stay awhile. While the restaurant was inspired by a love of pecans, you can find plenty of pecan-free items on the menu. Byrd’s serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and you can’t go wrong with any of them. The breakfast menu includes biscuits and gravy, french toast, parfaits, and many other favorites. The lunch and dinner menus keep it simple with sandwiches and salads. You can get a BLT, Reuben, Patty Melt, and more. A children’s menu is available with smaller portions of breakfast favorites and sandwiches.

Oh, and did we mention coffee?! Get a latte or plain black cup of joe to go with the delicious pecan pie that you know you just have to order.

Given the sandwich and salad-centric menu at Byrd’s, we love it as an option for a grab-and-go picnic or a quick bite to eat when you don’t have much time. If you want to stay awhile, there are some small tables available inside plus a couple more tables on the porch but don’t plan on bringing a big party!

If you want a small-town feel with big-time flavor, Byrd’s is just the place to go!

Our work in Baltimore is truly a family affair. Husband and wife, Matt and Katie, work together to head up our ambassador team in Charm City. Katie is a Maryland native and has lived in the state her whole life. She moved to Baltimore in 2007 after graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She has been working in the field of early childhood education as a teacher and family coach for the past 12 years. Katie also holds a Masters of Education in Literacy from Loyola University. She is passionate about giving kids and families the knowledge and tools that they need to thrive. Matt grew up in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore. As a city native, Matt is a great resource on all that the city has to offer. After months of helping Katie explore the city for her role at a Happy Active Family, he decided to put his love of writing to use and officially come on board as an ambassador. Matt and Katie have two girls, ages 5 and 7. They spend their weekends camping, hiking, or exploring other hidden gems in their area. Tap into their insider knowledge by downloading the app today!
