We adored playing at this huge, new playground at Cottageville Park!

This park and playground is such a gem! We've passed by this area many times, but I somehow never knew this park was here. Still, the location is very centrally located, just off main freeways and near a mall, plus several shops and restaurants. Even though it's such a great and likely pretty popular place, we visited on a rainy day, and had the whole place to ourselves! I would imagine that since this park is so awesome, and is in such a great location, that it can probably get quite busy so we got very lucky!

The park itself offers everything from firepits, grills, benches, and picnic tables, to a hiking trail, and community garden. All these facilities, plus restrooms and more, make Cottageville Park a great destination for family picnics or other get-togethers. Bring your hot dogs and buns and enjoy a fresh air BBQ at this fun spot!

The playground was also really well-appointed, with a huge quantity of fun equipment, as well as having new, upgraded playground equipment. The girls and I loved that it has some fake grass/astroturf-type material, which made it less slippery or difficult to play on. It also had swings, a hammock play swing, nets to climb on, and apparatuses that swing, rock, and spin. It had wobbly steps and a merry-go-round. This playground is really excellent. You know it's a good one when the kiddos cry when you say it's time to leave! We'll definitely be back.
