What Dave's Town Club may lack in upgrades, it more than makes up for in classic burgers and fries, served by friendly faces.

Delano is an adorable, sleepy little town in the west metro Twin Cities. Any further west from Delano, and you're decidedly in country towns. But this town is a little gem, it's also considered the 4th of July capital of Minnesota. Dave's Town Club is one of the best bets in town, and a great place to stop after running around the awesome local parks with your kiddos. If you're looking for something fancy, this place isn't for you. But, if you're anything like me, fancy typically isn't what you're looking for when you need to eat out for a family meal. Despite having a bar inside, this restaurant is very family-oriented for lunch or dinner with your kiddos.

The kids' meals here are the most reasonable we've come across in the Twin Cities yet, with generously-sized burgers. They came with sides with a choice of fries or apple sauce. The staff even put together a kids' milk to go for each of the girls. In addition, they bagged up some of their free popcorn for each of the girls, which was a nice bonus. Inside the restaurant itself, there's a little toy train that goes around the upper portion of the wall, which is definitely a thrill for little ones. Parking here is easy. Even though it's street parking, this is a sleepy little town, so there's no need to fret over finding a spot (unless it's Fourth of July weekend, of course!).

After grabbing a burger for the fam at Dave's Town Club, drive over to the gorgeous Lake Rebecca Park Reserve for some hiking, biking, or playing on the beach.
