playground, run, seasonal-activities

The Village Green in the heart of East Quogue is a short walk from town and offers a little something to put a smile on the whole family's face.

The park is open year-round, sunrise to sunset.  What is better than a place to take everyone from the dog to the kids, teenagers, and the parents? As an added bonus the town hosts a concert in the park between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

The playground at EQ Village Green is suitable for kids of all ages; providing a play structure with climbing and slides, see-saws, a variety of swings (including an all abilities swing), and tic-tac-toe. The playground is fenced in, while the rest of the park is not. Within the playground area, there is a gondola with a picnic table.

The East Quogue Village Green offers a lot of other great features, one of the best being the area is dog friendly, waste bags are provided at the entrance. There is a walking/stroller path located around a big field perfect for playing catch or playing a game of soccer.  Near the small parking lot, there is a public restroom as well as a small library for trading good reads for young and old alike.

During the summertime, from Memorial Day to Labor Day, the Village of East Quogue hosts a concert in the park once a week (usually on Tuesdays) starting about 7.  Although, I recommend checking the town website to check bands and times as they vary. You can bring dinner or pick something up at one of the local eateries. I do recommend getting there early, as there is very limited parking. And make sure to bring a blanket to sit on or beach chairs to enjoy the concert.

Although there are quite a few trees around the park, there is not an ample amount of shade, sunscreen is recommended.
