E.H. Young Riverfront Park is such a great outdoor space for families in Kansas City!

This park is so fabulous! Our family had a blast here. We only left as the sun was finally setting...otherwise, we surely would have stayed and played longer! There's a huge, nice, new playground at E.H. Young Riverfront Park, and it's truly wonderful!

The kids had a blast exploring this playground fully. This playground is huge and had literally just about every single structure you could want in a kids' playground. There are tons of huge slides, ladders, rope structures to climb, different kinds of swings, you name it. It even has a play storefront, which the girls found just delightful! It encouraged them to dive into imaginative play. The slides here are super high, so they loved climbing up several levels to slide down. For some reason, this was a super exciting bonus!

Another big plus for me about this park is its proximity to downtown Kansas City. This park is literally just on the northside of the riverfront, so downtown is very close indeed. After playing here, we could easily pop into downtown for dinner, or head back north to settle into the hotel we were staying at during this visit. It's close to everything, which is so, so important for busy parents and caregivers because you can always squeeze a quick visit to a convenient playground into any outing.

After getting all the wiggles out at E.H. Young Park, head over to the Corner Cafe for some delicious down-home eats!
