Elk Ridge Playground has many options for kids to climb, slide, and swing.

The playground has three main play structures. The main play structure has two levels, allowing for climbing, with large slides attached. There are five slides and two hanging bridges, so there's plenty of variety to keep kids entertained and work off some energy! Connected to the main play structure is a rock climbing wall with a slide on it. This area also has monkey bars and a see-saw. The third structure is designed for smaller kids, but still provides opportunities for kids to challenge themselves while still playing in their comfort zone. This structure has steps, ladders, and a rock climbing area for kids to get up and has two slides for getting down.

Next to the play structures there is a swing set that has both traditional and baby swings. The playground also has two more non-traditional spinning swings that are really popular. Throughout the playground, there are several musical instrument play areas. For example, there are a tom-tom drum and two bell sets, one on the main structure and one on the small structure. The playground has restrooms and water fountains located right next to it, but they are shut off during the winter. There is a picnic table next to the playground but not much shade so a hat and sunscreen are essential for spending an afternoon at the park.

The city recently redid the playground, and some equipment hasn't been installed yet near the structures. It looks like they will be installing more swings and other features.
