Explore this Versatile Playground at Emerald Park!

Right off the Yampa River Core Trail sits pretty Emerald Park - we loved it for its versatility, convenience to other adventures in Steamboat Springs and large, grassy areas. While the play space is a bit smaller, it is great for both smaller kids and slightly older ones, as there is a very small playground suitable for toddlers on one side of the playground area (lower heights on the equipment) as well as some features great for older kids: high, twisty slide; large climbing jungle gym-like structure, and fake boulders to climb on. There is a ton of green space and picnic tables.  You may want to bring a frisbee, ball, or picnic blanket for the beautiful pasture area.  My children's only complaint about this park is that there were no swings!

We really enjoyed visiting the Yampa River Botanic Gardens in the morning first and then walking a short distance via the Yampa River Core Trail by the river to this park in the afternoon.  It made a great adventure day in the outdoors for our whole family.

Restrooms are in the brown wooden building to the side of the park and we found them very clean and accessible.  The parking lot is huge.
