Emma's Tea Spot in Hamilton

Emma's Tea Spot in Hamilton is easily one of the most charming restaurants that we've visiting in Baltimore. The tea room features vintage floors and warm lighting that make you feel as though you've stepped back in time for a pot of tea in your grandmother's kitchen.

Emma's truly offers something for everyone. Our girls played happily in the children’s area, filled with toys as well as child-sized tables and chairs, while we perused the locally sourced, mostly organic menu. Emma’s features all of the foods that you’d expect at a tea shop: delicious sandwiches, hearty soups, fresh salads and, of course, scones.

We couldn’t help ourselves and ordered more food than was strictly necessary, but we weren’t disappointed. Everything we had was delicious and I can’t wait to go back and try even more. We completed our order with a Tea for Two for the adults as well as a Mini Tea Service for the girls. I can't say that our kids normally enjoy tea, but they were over the moon when they saw the adorable tea pots and tea cups that arrived at our table.

We planned to stay for just a short time but found ourselves ordering another pot of earl grey, just so that we could stay awhile longer. The service was excellent and we couldn’t have felt more welcome. It's easy to see why Emma's has received the title of best tea house in Baltimore from more than one publication.

Emma’s is becoming quite popular due to their excellent service and delicious food. We had no problem finding a table when we arrived around lunchtime but the restaurant began to quickly fill as we enjoyed our meal. Emma’s accepts reservations for high tea and it may be advisable to take that route if you’ll be going with a crowd.

Emma's offers a truly one of a kind tea experience in Hamilton. If you enjoy a good pot of tea, Emma's Tea Spot is the place to go in Baltimore.

Katie is a Maryland native and has lived in the state her whole life. She moved to Baltimore in 2007 after graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She has been working in the field of early childhood education as a teacher and family coach for the past 12 years. Katie also holds a Masters of Education in Literacy from Loyola University. She is passionate about giving kids and families the knowledge and tools that they need to thrive. Matt grew up in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore. As a city native, Matt is a great resource on all that the city has to offer. After months of helping Katie explore the city for her role at a Happy Active Family, he decided to put his love of writing to use and officially come on board as an ambassador.
