This park and playground was such a nice surprise!

I was pleasantly surprised by this park right when we pulled up. This neighborhood park is set in a really beautiful little wooded lot, and I never even knew it was here. Call me simple, but I'm a sucker for pretty places. And this place is sure pretty for a neighborhood park.

The playground here is awesome. The equipment is really new and nicely appointed, and there are tons of fun items for the kids to choose from to play with. It features big slides, tunnels, a huge climbing tree, and more. The girls loved the big kid swings, of course, and there was even a "double" swing as we call it, where Mommy can swing on one side, and one of the kids on the other, or both the girls together. The double swings are so fun! We usually goof around and tickle each other or do some other sort of silly business on the double swings. There's a spinning gyroscope, which is always a huge (and yes, quite a silly) hit, too. The girls had a blast spinning each other silly in the gyroscope. The park also offers a two-person bouncer, which was fun, and fake rock climbing walls.

Besides the playground, this park also features a picnic area and shelter, baseball field, basketball court, football/soccer field, hiking trail, and tennis courts. And, it has some mature trees for shady areas, which is a big bonus to this sun-safe Mommy!

After enjoying the fresh air at Hidden Ponds Park, head over to People's Organic for a coffee or bite to eat.
