Hilltop-Rosenwald Park is a Smyrna local community favorite, 30 minutes outside of Nashville.

This simple park has become a family favorite for a few different reasons:

1. The playground is typically less crowded than other local parks, making it easier for my toddler to explore and run around. In addition, it is tucked away in a nice neighborhood area, not near major roads or traffic. We have always felt very safe spending time here.

2. A few covered pavilions and gazebos include picnic tables. (You can rent the large covered pavilion or the community building out for events. Both of these were where I had my gender reveal and baby shower for my little guy). There are a couple of grills to use throughout the summer as well.

3. My husband can join a pickup game of basketball at one of the three full-size courts.

4. A half-mile paved walking trail is great for strollers.

While the playground is nothing too new or fancy, it has a few slides, monkey bars, a little rock climbing wall, and swings (including tire swings and baby swings). There is also plenty of open space to run around and kick a soccer ball! My toddler loves that there are plenty of large rocks to climb on too. Restrooms are available and very close to the playground. The parking lot is very spacious and steps away from either the basketball courts or the playground. There is very limited shade at the playground area and the walking trail, so bring a hat and sunscreen for a sunny day!
