Known as "the crown jewel of Leesburg's park system" Ida Lee features more than enough for any age group to agree!

Passing into the entrance of the grounds, you could easily mistake the park for private. There is a winding road with so much open green space all around. There is a beautiful covered pavilion, and gardeners hard at work in the designated plots set to the side. There are fields that are open for play including a flag football field, as well as turf space reserved for official gameplay, and meticulously cared for.

In addition to acres more of open field (we saw a skydiver folding his parachute on the property on a recent visit if that gives you a sense of the wide-open spaces), there are walking trails. The playground is relatively small, but fenced, and adjacent to the rec center (and restrooms). The kids really enjoy it. There is also a picnic table where you'll often see families relaxing and enjoying a meal while their kids have fun on the playground.

There is a huge dual outdoor pool and lazy river, which is more like a water park with giant slides. There are umbrellas, a lot of lounge chairs as well as an area for eating with a vendor on site. The prices are quite reasonable, and you can feel free to go for a random day even if you aren't a town resident, but they do open to locals an hour earlier so space might be limited on busy days. Seasonal passes are also available.

Inside the recreation center, there are also two pools, a lap pool and a warm water pool, as well as a spa, ample gymnasium space, a huge fitness facility and racquetball courts among other features. They also offer childcare. The tennis facility is also very well-maintained and there are at least six or seven courts.

The park is dog-friendly, and you can often see people throwing balls for their dogs out in the areas that are not home to athletic fields (like soccer or lacrosse fields).

In addition to the indoor restrooms, there are porta-potties by the fields and there is also ample parking.
