This park and playground has everything a family could want for a great afternoon outdoors!

Jensen Lake Playground is a wonderful stop in the Eagan area. It's situated on the cusp of the glorious Lebanon Hills Park, which in itself offers nearly 2,000 acres of outdoor fun, including several lakes and many miles of hiking trails. So, whether you're heading into the park for all day recreation, or you just want a quick playground stop, this place is a great option.

This playground offers outdoor seating, featuring plenty of picnic tables for eating and relaxing. The playground itself has many options for getting your kiddos active outside, including plenty of slides, a chained bridge, tunnel for crawling and hiding inside, steps and ladders for climbing up, and of course swings and monkey bars. There are options for younger kiddos, which is always nice, and these include wobbly animals the kids can ride on. This playground had enough features that the kids and I could easily play "robot" (where mommy pretends to be a robot and slowly chases them) and they had lots of spots to hide and run from the silly robot!

This playground also connects directly to the whole Lebanon Hills Park trail system, as the Jensen Lake Trailhead is right there. Parking was awesome and offered plenty of spots, and also offers restrooms at the playground itself.

I highly recommend a trip to this awesome playground, and I do recommend coming early in the day and then entering Lebanon Hills Park to either walk or bike the trails with your littles. It makes for a lovely day together!
