This large-scale, beautiful suburban, lakefront park is truly rich in amenities!

Lake Susan Park really is a spot that has it all. This 33-acre park features a gorgeous lake with surrounding trails, a giant playground, and more. This suburban park is one of the crowning jewels in this area's park system. And, make no mistake, this lovely park has outdoor joy to offer in every season.

This park offers a reservable picnic shelter, two sand volleyball courts, two tennis courts, a baseball field, and a basketball court. It also features plenty of trails for walking or biking. A bonus is that the trail does run along the lake, giving you glorious glimpses of the surrounding scenery.

The playground here is generous, with plenty of equipment to keep your kiddos busy for hours. There is a separate playground area for littles, which I always consider a bonus at parks. It allows peace of mind for caregivers that their littlest ones are safe and playing at the appropriate level on equipment that suits them. There are many swings at this park, which is yet another big bonus in my mind.

In the summertime, this park offers a fishing pier, in addition to boat access. We personally don't use the boat access, but my girls adore fishing, so the pier is right up our alley, and we'll definitely make use of it in the summertime.

After enjoying this great park, I highly recommend heading over to Thyme Cafe in Chanhassen for some delicious eats!
