Lebanon Hills Regional Park is an astonishing 2,000 acres of pure nature delight!

I can't say enough about this absolutely gorgeous nature area! This regional park is massive...it's huge. We've been to lots of regional parks, but this has to be one of the largest, if not the largest, not including national and state parks, of course. This is the kind of park that has amazing activities to offer in every season, and that's saying something. Many parks are really at their best in certain seasons, but that's not the case for Lebanon Hills.

I had read and heard a lot about this park for several years now, and I can't believe it took me this long to get us here to explore. But I'm so glad we did! We came out on a gorgeous late fall day, and still had tons of space to ourselves. There are just so many areas within this park, but unless you're at the beach in the summer on a hot day, you're likely to have plenty of space to yourself. I brought the stroller along and had no problems with it (and it's a double stroller). This park is extremely stroller-friendly, which makes a huge difference, especially in lugging around an array of water bottles, snacks or lunches, hats, various clothing layers, and any other items for the kids and I. The kids jumped out of the car and hopped on their bikes, and away we went! The trails were very bike-friendly, and this made for a delightful ride. We did a short loop around one of the lakes inside Lebanon Hills, and it was just right. We spent the afternoon here, and while I wanted to stay longer, we had an extracurricular for the girls, so we had to run. Still, the kids were very disappointed we couldn't do another loop around the lake, so I do know they adored this park.

We spent our time really leisurely biking around the lake, with Momma pushing the stroller behind the girls. We stopped at little beachy spots, at a spot where the girls wanted to toss ice chunks into the lake and to look at leaves and things. We also made a nice pitstop when the kids got hungry and we read books and had snacks by the side of the trail. It was so, so lovely!

This park has so many features, it's hard to name them all, but they include over 12 miles of prime mountain biking trails, kayak rentals in the summer and cross-country ski rentals in the winter, beautiful Schultze Lake Beach, and much more. In winter, there's skate skiing, sledding, cross-country skiing, hiking, ice fishing, kick sledding, snowshoeing, and mountain biking. Summer activities include geocaching, camping, hiking, fishing, biking, and canoeing. If you're thinking that this park pretty much has it all, it's because it does.

We absolutely loved Lebanon Hills, and very highly recommend this park to all nature lovers.
