Don't Miss Northern Virginia's Heritage Farm Museum in Loudoun County
Whether you’re looking for a quick trip or an all-day adventure, this adorable museum is the perfect place for some fun. The museum is quaint and geared toward children’s interactive learning. Throughout the museum, there are numerous hands-on exhibits including a cow milking area, horse stable, and general store. Each area has only a few play options, but kids actively employ their imaginations in each experience.
There are historical farming tools to view and model school rooms and kitchens, educational in the way of time period significance as well. We covered everything in about an hour or so, but we could certainly have spent more time there.
The museum is located around a large recreational center with multiple outdoor sports fields. If you want to take the kids to a refreshing treat Abbott’s Frozen Custard is just five minutes away. The ice cream flavors are memorable and proven over time, as the chain has been open for over a hundred years.
