Memorial Park and Playground and Johnny Roberts Disc Golf Course

Memorial Park and Johnny Roberts Disc Golf Course, West 59th Avenue, Arvada, CO, USA

Memorial Park is home to a playground, Disc Golf, Skate Park and more!

Tucked behind the Arvada Police Department and Municipal Court buildings is a beautiful park for all to enjoy. Catching your eye immediately is a very tall play structure with three-story high slides.

For the younger ages, there are baby swings available and bouncers in the fun shapes of a ladybug and grasshopper. There is also a small climbing structure made of cables in a separate part of the playground.

For the large structure, I'd only recommend it for children over the age of 5, maybe older depending on the heights you're comfortable with as there are openings little ones could fall from. The older kids will love that the climbing wall is tall enough for a challenge and the bridge across to the slides is much taller than the more typical play structures..Not only are there multiple slides for the way down, there is also a tunnel from the top level to the next level down.

Also available are the Johnny Roberts Disc Golf Course, the Arvada Skate Park, and a circular basketball court. You can also bring out your soccer ball, frisbee or kite in the huge grass field! There is something for everyone at Memorial Park!

Notes:

* There are portable restrooms available (also a restroom building but was locked when we went).

* A creek runs right next to the playground so be aware if you have kids that like to wander. I'd recommend finding a spot to sit in the area between the playground and creek for best viewing..
