Spend all day playing, hiking, and exploring at breathtaking Noccalula Falls Park!
With its spectacular views of Noccalula Falls, this park is a destination for hikers and nature lovers of all ages. The 90-foot waterfall drops into a gorge that runs downstream for miles. Observe the falls from above by taking a walk on the paved trail that winds through the park outside of the admission pavilion. While there you can read about the legend of Princess Noccalula and how the falls came to be named.
Children will also enjoy the nearby playground area. Paid admission to the park offers visitors the opportunity to stroll through the Botanical Garden, Animal Habit, and a Pioneer Village built in the late 1700s and 1800s. You can also take a ride through the park on one of two miniature trains that travel on a mile-long journey through history.
Feel like being adventurous? Head down the Gorge Trail to get a view of the falls from behind and be treated to picturesque scenery along the way. This trail is not stroller-friendly and is moderately difficult with its steep incline. Be sure to bring plenty of water and wear comfortable shoes. The gorge offers an additional trail that leads to a suspension bridge over Black Creek for an added experience.
Restrooms are plentiful throughout the park and other offerings include picnic pavilions and a souvenir shop. Noccalula Falls Miniature Golf Course can also be enjoyed for separate admission. Plan to spend a couple of hours to a full day enjoying all that this park has to offer.
