Patterson Park in Mueller Neighborhood, Austin TX

Located just outside the Mueller neighborhood (where families can find kid-friendly dining – we recommend Kerby Lane, the beloved Alamo Drafthouse for dinner and a movie, and the Thinkery), this park provides a lot of open space to run, a well-equipped pool during summer months, a recently updated playground, tree-covered picnic areas complete with grills, volleyball, basketball, and courts, plus a community garden.

The playground is large and has swings, slides, climbing features, and other cool structures. There is a lot of room to run and play, and the ground is covered in wood chips as a surfacing. This park is really popular for all kinds of activities.

Got an X Gamer in the family? Grab their board, because there’s also a small skateboarding ramp.
