Pearsall is an amazing playground that kids of all ages will love!

In my opinion, Pearsall Park is one of the coolest playgrounds in San Antonio. It features a splash pad, an obstacle-course like fitness area, a three story playground, the largest skate park in the city, two basketball courts, and a lawn area. This place is huge and will keep everyone entertained for hours. The blue and green playground has multiple places to climb, crawl, jump, hide, swing, and slide, including two 3-story slides for the brave kids. The big playground may be overwhelming or too challenging for young children, but there is a smaller toddler playground right next to it. The playground floor is made of rubber and the playground itself is mostly shaded, but make sure to still bring sunscreen. The fitness area features unique equipment that makes working out fun. This includes a zip line, 40-yard sprint timer, pull-up bars, a shaded workout area, traveling rings, and Ninja-warrior-like obstacles. The 5k walking/ running trails is perfect for people of all skill and athletic levels. It has multiple trails and does not cross any streets or park roads, making it safe for younger kids.

One of the best things here is the giant splash pad area, and it is a great place for kids to cool off before or after playing on the playground. It has a lot of overhead and floor sprayers that people of all ages can splash through. I would recommend waterproof shoes and bathing suits or sports-material clothing as the ground is concrete. The splash pad does close periodically through the day for maintenance for 11:30-12:30, 2:30-3:30, and 5:30-6:30, so plan accordingly. These would be great times to eat lunch or snacks, and luckily there are 2 shaded picnic areas and 20 picnic tables for people to gather at. The only downside to this amazing park is how busy it gets. It is one of the most popular parks in San Antonio, for good reasons, so you should consider bringing your own chairs or picnic blankets. Free bathrooms are available right by the playground, and the whole area is stroller and wheelchair accesable. There are over 200 free parking spaces here, so parking should not be an issue.
