Power Hill Park Definitely Lives up to Its Name!

I’m not sure why it didn’t occur to me that, as the name implies, this park is known as a sweet sledding hill. This hill is huge, but if your kiddos are smaller or more afraid of the bigger sledding hills, you can modify this park to suit your family. My kids are often scared of the bigger sledding hills, so what we do is only walk as far up the hill as they’re comfortable sledding down. That way, unless the hill is super steep, you can find a way to accommodate different ages. Be advised, the parking is above, not below the hill, so you’d just have to take your sleds and your kiddos down a bit.

This park itself is pretty big, clocking in at 22 acres, so no matter the season or what your kids like to do, you’ll find fun here. When my kids see big hills like these (or even the tiniest of hills, they like to log roll down them. So, this hill isn’t just for winter fun.

In addition to the playground, this park also offers a basketball court, connections to neighboring trails, off-street parking, and more. The playground is very modern and includes several different sets to play on. Here you’ll find twisty and wavy slides, monkey bars, steps, ladders, spinners, and more. There are also lots of swings here. There are swings for differently-abled kiddos, and there’s a fun “raft” swing as well as a cool gyro spinner.

After enjoying a nice long playtime here, head over to Paragon Bakery for a yummy treat!
