Beautiful Campground Next to The Arkansas River.

The Rincon Campground has fantastic, riverfront campsites with fire pits and space for tent or RV camping (we found it on The Dyrt). It is a very popular rafting takeout for this mellow stretch. Make sure to book in advance, because this popular spot is reservation camping only. The campground has 8 basic campsites (each offers a tent pad, fire grill, and table), four vault toilets, and two changing areas. Lots of people camping here also fish, so if you have poles you should bring them. The spots are all right on the water, which is amazing.

Have more time after rafting? Riverside Park in Salida has a great playground. You could also rent bikes from SubCulture Cyclery. If you need a meal, Amica’s Pizza is the place to stop for dinner, and Salida Pharmacy & Fountain is your place for dessert. Leave time in your planning to explore Salida, it's a very cute city.
