Rock Island Market and Cafe

Close to Great Falls, the Rock Island Market sits unassuming and with zero frills.  It's one of the few places open during the day during winter.  It's actually a gas station / market with a popular restaurant off to the side.  It feels rural and local.  Some might be turned away by the linoleum floors and the tired facade, but if you are lucky enough to get a table (it's popular with locals), you'll be met with basic but hearty food and kind servers that were very patient with my kids.  Food items range from salads to burgers to catfish and "meat & 3" (we avoided the fish as it wasn't local).  Service is quick and bathrooms were old, but clean.
