If you’re looking for 105 miles of scenic wonder, you’ll love Skyline Drive.
(An approximately 1.5 hour drive of winding roads, picnic areas, etc.)
Running along the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains from North to South, this National Scenic Byway and National Historic Landmark will encourage you to find all of its 70 overlooks, picnic areas, wildlife, and spanning views of the Shenandoah Valley to the west and the Piedmont to the east.
You’ll also have the option to enjoy the many hiking trails, campgrounds, and horse trails. It takes 3-4 hours to make it all the way through this scenic route at the 35 mph speed limit so pack your picnics and get ready for your adventure! Take a drive along the beautiful Skyline Drive to find yourself the most picturesque location for your picnic needs. All of them have their own special charm.
