Soak Up the Mountain Sunshine at the Gorgeous Strawberry Hot Springs!
Everyone in the family loved this outing! Strawberry Hot Springs is a gorgeous area about 25 minutes outside of Steamboat Springs. There you can relax in the large naturally fed hot spring pools that blend the natural beauty of the area with unique stone masonry that constructs the pools. There are plenty of different pool temperatures - some are quite hot and others are fed from snowfall and rivers near by so you and your family are sure to find a temperature that suits. There are plenty of chairs and picnics throughout the deck making it a relaxing area to sit out after you've been in the pools for a while.
We went at 6pm to avoid the hottest temperatures of the day and brought a picnic dinner on the premises (note: no food on pool deck but there are picnic tables near the entrance). Restrooms and changing areas are available.
Overnight rentals are popular year–round, and hiking, biking, and snowshoeing trails are conveniently nearby in Routt National Forest.

Note:
- Advance reservations needed.
- Open everyday 10 AM – 10 PM but no youth under the age of 18 allowed after dark.
- NO ALCOHOL at any time.
- Cost: $20 / person; No credit cards - cash or check only.
- No dogs.
- The last 2 miles of the drive were not paved (In June, our minivan was able to make it just fine)
- Please remember 4 wheel drive with snow tires/chains required Nov 1st to May 1st (local ROUTT COUNTY LAW); Due to ongoing safety concerns two-wheel drive vehicles are prohibited Nov 1 - May 1.
