This adorable little chocolate shop has been a mainstay in the west metro since 1995, making delicious, made-in Minnesota confections.

Truffle Hill is a bit famous in the Twin Cities, and yet, somehow I had never been here before. I knew it would be a hit with the kids, as, well, it's a chocolate shop. But they were alive with excitement! It was cute to see them experiencing real childhood wonder at every turn, and I'll admit, I felt a bit like a kid, too! They had chocolate in all different shapes and sizes...flowers, animals, sailboats, chocolate coins...you name it, they had it. And, as a mom, I loved that despite being a very fancy chocolatier, they had options for all price ranges. This is important, especially if your budget is tight, or if it's a place you're hoping to return to over and over.

The truffles displayed in the main case near the cash register were all sold by the pound, however, all other chocolates displayed all over the shop were sold by a flat price listed on the item. This was nice, as there were all different options for purchasing a little something, or for buying more in bulk. The staff here were very nice and friendly and even offered to place a special Made in Minnesota sticker on my items for my special gift baskets. The girls finally settled on special chocolate suckers from the options mommy had offered, and they loved their choices! What a fun place this is for families to stop for a special treat!

I will be returning to Truffle Hill very soon, to pick out special chocolates for my annual Made in Minnesota baskets I gift to our friends out west. These are the perfect items to include for gifts for friends and family back home, or for out-of-town friends.

After picking up a little sweet treat at Truffle Hill, head just across the road to Badger Park for some playground fun!
