Enjoy apple-picking at Volcan Valley, the largest U-pick orchard in Julian.

Volcan Valley is the largest U-pick orchard in Julian with over 7,000 apple trees. The farm grows 7 different varieties of apple trees on their 10-acres including Gala, Jonathans, Empires, Gravenstein, Fuji, Golden Delicious, and Pippins.  Most rows are identified by variety signs to easily identify what you're picking.  The semi-dwarf trees make it nice and easy for little ones to pick apples too, but as a reminder from the farm, make sure you hold the branch above your apple with one hand, and twist and pill with your other hand.  Try not to dislodge other apples that are ripe and in clusters that can fall to the ground.   

Their new pricing is $15/bag (holds about 7lbs) which includes one admission. Admission with no bag is $5/person. Children 5 and under are free. Cash or credit are accepted.

The farm reports that their apples look beautiful and plentiful this year!  They will remain open until apples are gone.
