August Weeknight Meals

Get inspired in the kitchen this month with great flavors for the whole family!!
I have so many favorite mid-to-late-summer produce favorites, but the bounty of herbs, avocados, and tomatoes probably top my list. I've been making basil pesto for a long time, but some of the other herbs in my garden are outpacing the basil this year. So I discovered a few alternative pesto recipes -- try this oregano one or this sage pesto and feel free to adapt with what you have.
Pesto is easy to freeze (just top with a little olive oil in a freezer-ready container), so make extra to have all year long and then check out all the different recipes below incorporating fresh herb variations! That California BLT incorporates avocado, tomato, AND basil, so you might want to start there.
