Published on April 25, 2020 - Updated on May 05, 2020

Tools for Keeping the Kids Engaged and Happy at Home!

The resources in our tool kit are varied and benefit both parent and child. They are designed to keep your family entertained and learning new things. We focus on elevating values, creativity and practical skills through well-rounded activities that will keep their attention. It is our goal to provide you sufficient time to complete your work or household duties, that is if you can tear yourself away from the fun your kids are having!

1) The Daily Schedule. Thank you for the continued feedback and great suggestions for keeping our Daily Schedule fresh and stimulating every week. It includes 16 blocks of carefully selected activities covering art, games, yoga, outdoor time and more. View the document live and feel free to copy into a new document so you can adjust it to suit your needs.

2) Practical Skills

Randi (Betts) Banks grew up in New York and graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. She moved to Washington, D.C. more than thirteen years ago with her husband, Eaghmon, and they love to explore the area and seek out adventure, now with their two young children along for the ride. Growing up right near the beach, they are happiest when on or near the water, so exploring the rivers, lakes, and streams in the greater DC area is a favorite pastime for their family. In addition to serving as one of the Washington, DC area ambassadors, Randi is also the Editor in Chief and Co-founder of happyly.
