The family-owned Aamodt's Apple Farm orchard offers wonderful seasonal activities for families.

When apple season is in full swing in Minnesota, there is no better place to celebrate and eat your fill than Aamodt's Apple Farm. This family-owned orchard has everything your family needs for an autumn afternoon of fun!

After parking on-site, head into the Apple Barn area. Outside, you'll find a variety of food to order (including popcorn and brats), hard cider and wine tastings, as well as the entrance to the locally-sourced gift shop. Find fresh-baked goodies (like cookies and pie), apples galore, and other hand-crafted items in the gift shop.

Past the initial outdoor area, you'll find portable toilets, as well as the entrance to the orchard area. Here, families will delight in a wide-open green space featuring playground equipment, picnic tables, and goats! Not to mention, there are a few adorable spots for a family photo. But, of course, you'll also get a stunning view of the orchard and vineyards. Families can even pick their apples to add to the day's festivities (confirm availability for u-pick on the website before going).

After picking apples, head back to the playground area to ride the Honeycrisp Express, a miniature train pulled by a tractor. It's the perfect way to treat your little apple pickers. Wagons rides are also available for families to enjoy. Afterward, be sure to grab a bite to eat and try their hard cider. Their cider uses apples that are grown, harvested, pressed, and brewed at Aamodt's Apple Farm.

August, September, and early October at the best times to visit. Check their website for updated information about the apple season and hours. The Apple Barn remains open through December for apple shipments and other goods.
