Abdella Memorial Park is a quiet playground located in St. Paul Park.
This is a quaint little park to visit with a couple of extra amenities beyond those of the typical playground. The paved paths are great for strollers or for kids who want to be able to ride their bikes or scooters to the neighborhood playground. The playground is smaller but it's in good shape. It consists of wood chips for the ground. The structure itself has three slides, a cute little pretend window and a climbing wall that looks like stones. There are also swings for toddlers and older kids. Surrounding the playground are a few benches so you can easily sit and watch the kids play while you catch up on emails or scroll Happyly for your next adventure.
Some other great features include the tennis courts, a small basketball court, and a baseball field. In the summer months, you can usually find T-ball or little league teams practicing here. I've seen couples playing tennis a few times, so keep this in mind if you're looking for a place to play tennis. The courts look like they are in good shape. It's a great spot to be able to get a workout in if your kids are older and can occupy themselves at the playground while you use the adult exercise equipment. This equipment is a newer amenity added to the park and I haven't seen many people use it. One downside is the lack of bathrooms. I didn't even see a Porta-Potty when we visited. Since it's hidden back in a neighborhood that is to be expected.
After enjoying an afternoon at the park, head down the road to the new Milk Mart Ice Cream!
