Lovely shaded park - a great place to run and play or just kick back and relax!

After the excitement at the Santa Monica Airport Observation Decks, head over to Airport Park and let your little ones run off some energy. The park boasts a picnic table area, perfect for a packed picnic lunch. While sitting and finishing lunch, you can watch your kiddos run around on the large, grassy area sprinkled with mature trees that provide ample shade even on the sunniest of days.  

There is a small playground best for younger children (toddler to 7 years old) with restrooms that are equipped with changing tables. The playground has a nice size slide, a small climbing structure, and a set of swings. Bringing along a set of sand toys would definitely provide an additional element of fun for the playground area! 

If you are looking for a bit of exercise or need a little one to take a stroller nap, there is a lovely walking path (.6-mile loop) that surrounds the entire park area. As an additional bonus, there is an off-leash Dog Park area right off the walking path if you need to get your pup some exercise, as well!
