Antioch Park just outside of the city limits of Kansas City and has so many great features that it is definitely worth a stop when in the area.

This park has 44 acres to explore with a number of amenities to enjoy. The amenities include: two fishing lakes, walking paths perfect for a stroller walk or jog, multiple picnic shelters, a few tennis courts, basketball courts, a real restroom and multiple playgrounds. When you pull into the park, it's very calming with tons of green trees, lots of grass, walking paths through the entire park and tons of space.

The playgrounds here are all separate but near each other. Historic Dodge Town Play area mimics a Wild West town complete with school, bank, pony express, city hall, general store, blacksmith, train and train station and even farm animal sculptures. There are two other play areas nearby Dodge Town, both are more typical playgrounds with climbing features, slides, monkey bars, etc. One of the best things about this park is the ample seating throughout the entire park. There are tons of benches and picnic tables near all the playground areas but don't get too comfortable because it's hard to watch kids when they run from one area to the next.

This park is absolutely amazing. From all the activities to the nature and landscape, it's so calming here. I definitely think you should add this park to your must visit list. After playing for a few hours head over to Russel Stover Chocolates for a sweet treat.
