The Army Trail Nature Center is small but accessible!

The nature center is roughly 18 acres and has a trail that winds through the wooded area. There is a cute little pond where you can fish and catch some small carp from the bank. There is also a short dock that you can fish from as well, which is a great option if you have younger kids with you.

You can follow a trail down into the wooded area from the parking lot for a short walk or jog. You can see a number of different birds and wildlife while here, so keep an eye out! Dogs are allowed on the trail and within the park, so be sure to bring your furry friend if they need some exercise as well! This is a great quick stop in the spring or fall also when the flowers are blooming, or the fall foliage is at its peak.

Please be aware that there are no bathrooms at this park, so make sure to plan accordingly.

Parking for the Army Nature Center can be found off North Lombard RoadJetties1609, directly across from Addison Trail High School.

Afterward, try grabbing a bite to eat at a Serino's Italian Deli! They serve breakfast and lunch, and their menu offers items such as pizza, panini's, salads, and soups! Or grab a sandwich to go and head over to the Army Nature Trail Center and enjoy it by the pond while watching the ducks!
