Arrowcreek is a quiet neighborhood park with a great playground and short hike to a creek!

This quiet park is located in southwest Reno and has a beautiful view of the mountains and city. There are two playgrounds, one for big kids and one for little kids, along with a few climbing structures, a teeter-totter, a set of baby swings, and a spinning wheel. Benches are available for parents to sit and supervise.

This is a perfect place for a picnic - you can choose from the pavilion with covered picnic tables or lay out a blanket on the grass area. Check out the hiking trail at the top of the grassy area that takes you down to the stream too! It is a short hike that takes you to a creek. Your kids will love the location and the ease.

Things to note: There are no restrooms available so plan accordingly. There are no nearby stores or locations to use the restroom. No water fountains are available so make sure to bring water.  The play structures do not have shade and can get hot to the touch during the warmest months. Since there is very little shade cover aside from the covered pavilion: sunscreen is a great idea!

This park is also a great spot to sled during the snowy months! The higher elevation means there is typically more snow than in town.

The closest shopping center is about ten to fifteen minutes away, where there are several delicious places to grab a bite to eat or a quick treat. There is even a grocery store in the center to grab items for your perfect picnic.
