Atfalati Park is a 13-acre park with newly renovated amenities, including playgrounds.

There are basketball courts, a baseball field, a tennis court, and two playgrounds. The smaller playground has a turf and bark surface with a shaded play structure. This is the perfect size play space for one to four-year-olds. There's a little play structure with a ramp and slide that looks perfect for crawlers. The bathroom and picnic tables are between the two playgrounds. These are very conveniently located and if you want to sit at a picnic table, it's easy to see younger and bigger kids. The second playground is great for 5 to 12-year-olds with a climbing structure that goes into a three-story high slide. My kids love this slide and will spend most of the time climbing and sliding down the slide. There's also a tire swing, big kid and baby swings. In addition, there are inclusive swings and merry-go-rounds.

You can walk, run, or bike around on the paved trail. It is hilly, so not a great place to practice learning how to ride a bike. However, the big grassy lawn is perfect for having a picnic lunch or kicking a ball around. Bathrooms were open and clean but didn't have a baby changing station. There are benches and picnic tables around the park. Dogs are welcome but leashed. Many dogs were off-leash in the baseball area.

There are many restaurants, fast food, and shops a mile away.

Tip: we usually park on the roadside instead of the parking lot for a shorter walk to the playgrounds.
