Great Space to Get Outside and Get Some Exercise

Located in Burleson, not far off I-35W, Bailey Lake Park has great paved hike and bike trails, a lake, disc golf, picnic areas, and restrooms. The 8-acre lake is stocked with channel catfish and perch. There is a fishing dock, or you can fish from the edge of the lake. There is a 0.6 mile paved walking/jogging/bike path that goes around the lake. Part of the paved path is fairly wide, while other parts are narrow. So bikers and walkers beware of each other when passing. There are picnic tables around the lake to sit and enjoy the lake views. There is also a 0.8-mile paved path that goes from Bailey Lake (H.C. Parkway Bridge) to Tinker Trail. This portion of the trail is in the woods and has some good shade.

At the Hidden Creek Parkway, you can continue the trail under the overpass all the way to the Chisenhall Mountain Bike Trail area. This section of the trail also leads by the disc golf course. This 18-hole course is great for beginners and advanced players alike. There are several technical holes on the back nine. There are two holes on the back over water. These holes are just under 300 feet or so. If you can't throw that fair, skip these two holes or bring disposable discs that you are comfortable losing in the water. Overall, the course is great and a favorite amongst locals.

At the parking area, there is a large picnic pavilion with restrooms and picnic tables. There is even a small fireplace to enjoy a fire. Bailey Lake Park is a great space to get outside and enjoy a beautiful day. Check this place out for your next family outing.
