Beautiful views of Lake Norman await at Beatty's Ford Park.

Located in Denver, Beatty's Ford Park has a playground, splash pad, amphitheater, disc golf, walking path, sand volleyball, picnic pavilion, and boat ramp. The playground features two play structures and a swing set. The first play structure is shaped like a ship with a pretend bow, slides, climbing, steps, and interactive stations. This play structure is geared towards preschool-age children. The other play structure has many slides at different heights, steps, climbing, and interactive stations. The playground area is made with mulch and surrounded by mature trees. The play equipment is mostly in the sun so it can get warm during the summer. To cool off, the splash pad is right next to the playground. The splash pad has many sprayers, spray guns, and ground sprayers. The surface area is concrete and is surrounded by a small brick wall. The splash pad runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Next to the playground and splash pad is a picnic pavilion and the restrooms as well as a picnic area with a large outdoor fireplace. Behind this area is a large parking lot and boat ramp. You can walk down to the water from here and there is a small beach area. However, there is no swimming in the lake here.

The walking path is on the opposite side of the playground across the parking lot. This small loop has fitness stations and inside the loop is open green space and a sand volleyball court. Bring sand toys for the kids to play in the sand. The walking path is completely paved and perfect for young bike riders, scooters, and strollers. The disc golf course is in and out of the woods for a good challenge. The course is 9-holes and a short more technical course.

Beatty's Ford Park is great for any time of the year for a nice family outing. Check this out for your next family adventure. The Rescue Squad Park is close by to hit up two parks in a day or check out some of the local eats and treats of Denver.
