Blue Ox is a fun place for a date night or time with your older children. 

At Blue Ox, they have five lanes with two bullseye boards in each lane. Making a reservation online guarantees a spot for you and your party. You can sign a waiver ahead of time or once you arrive. Minors 12 and older are welcome with adult supervision. They have beer, wine, and ciders for purchase and allow outside food. Just make sure to stay clean and clean up messes. They provide one hand axe, two hand axe, knives, and ninja stars. An employee will go over instructions and safety precautions. The employee is always close by to ensure everyone is being safe. He was really helpful in providing tips also. The lanes have a table where you can sit and watch while waiting for your turn. The lanes allow two players to throw at the same time. When you throw, you are suppose to both walk to pick up your axe at the same time to insure one is not throwing while the other is walking in. Once you get your rhythm of throwing, they have a pamphlet with suggested games and scoring board. 

Axe throwing is great for hosting parties or fun for two people. They have open throw which is great for guest of two to eight people. You pay a deposit of $50 when you register online. The deposit covers two throwers and when you get there you pay for additional guest. Social throw is great for guest of eight to sixteen. The deposit of $135 covers two hours for three people. Additinal guest are $45 each and can pay at arrival. Currently they have a special in April and May on Wednesday nights for $25 for two throwers. If you have a guest that doesn't want to throw, they can by paying $10 to watch. Don't forget to wear close toe shoes. Before you leave, don't forget to stop by the photo area. They have many photo props and a neat sign.
