Do you have a child that likes riding bikes and playing on the playground? Then, check out Boring Station Trailhead Park.
Boring Station Trailhead Park is located in Boring, Oregon, on Keller Road. Although it doesn't come up when searching on Google maps, it is easy to find. Take OR-212 east and turn onto Keller Road. There's a small parking lot, but it's usually pretty quiet. There's additional parking on SE Wally Rd. This park has bathrooms, a covered picnic table, bike parking, and a playground. It connects to Springwater Trail to the north and Cazadero Trail to the south.
This is a great area for littles to learn how to ride their bikes because the trail is flat and paved. We saw many people running, riding bikes, and walking with strollers. Horses are also allowed to access the trail and have the right away. The trail has many blackberry bushes which would be great for picking during the summer. The playground has many benches surrounding it so you can sit and watch the kids play. The train theme playground is great for ages 2 to 12 years. There's a small train play structure with a slide and tunnel. The bigger play structure has climbing, a slide, and spinning monkey bars. There are two big kid swings and two baby swings. The big grassy area is great to have a picnic, play games, or run around. There isn't much shade so I would recommend bringing sunscreen. There are few food places across the street for an after park lunch.
