See some horses and experience the beauty of Bridle Trails State Park.

Bridle Trails State Park is an equestrian and hiking area located on the bottom edge of Kirkland, Washington. The 489-acre state park has 28 miles of trails. These trails can be looped, taken as out and back trips, or meshed together. The park is open to horseback riding, hikers, walkers, and runners. Biking and motor vehicles are prohibited in the park. This park is known for horse shows, equestrian events, and shows. A few things to note is you cannot rent horses here and the horses have the right away on the trails. This is a great place to connect to nature and spot wildlife. I suggest bringing a picnic to enjoy on the trail or in a picnic area near some of the arenas. I would definitely suggest this for families who don't mind being on the trails without any other amenities. The elevation gain is minimal so I would say these are a great option for kids who want to hike or those with strollers. The three main loops are the Raven Trail (1 mile), Trillium Trail (1.7 miles), and the Coyote Trail (3.5 miles). Many other extensions to these trails are available too. If you love horses, or your kids do, this is a fun spot to check out for the rings and horse show environment.  Check out the website for the calendar of events when planning your trip to the park. They have a wide variety of community events including art shows, educational experiences, and music. The trails have great footing and are well maintained as you pass through the forest. There are restrooms located near the picnicking area. It is suggested to walk the trails clockwise so you can see the trail signs as you move forward. You need a parking pass to go to state parks in Washington, the Discover Pass is required for coming to Bridle Trails State Park. Enjoy the day in Bridle Trails checking out the rich history of horse showing and exploring beneath the trees.
