A local favorite, this coffee shop is one you are going to want to visit. 
 

Just south of the city center of Winston-Salem sits the most wonderful coffee shop. Founders Abbey and Darrel Garner wanted to bring specialty coffee and loose-leaf tea to the area. Their core values are to put people first, listen and respond, innovate continuously, and give back to the community. You can tell that every part of this establishment is made with love and passion. ByGood Coffee starts with roasting the highest quality of specialty coffees in small batches to ensure that each cup of coffee is the freshest. They carefully select their green coffee from coffee farms of different origins to make their unique blends. Not only are they hand roasting their coffee in-house, but they also make their own syrups, powder-based chai, and organic loose-leaf teas. ByGood Coffee offers fresh-brewed coffee, handcrafted espresso drinks (hot and cold), cold brew, nitro cold brew, pour-over coffee, cappuccinos, macchiatos, and lattes as well as hot chocolate, loose-leaf teas, chai, and smoothies. With endless combinations and selections, you can't go wrong with anything you order. Can't decide? Just ask what their favorite is, or make it a surprise. We ordered nitro cold brew with amaretto and house-made rum cream and a hot caramel macchiato. Both were very delicious. 

Not only is ByGood Coffee making homemade drinks, but they also have homemade, fresh-to-order Belgian waffles, empanadas, muffins, scones, and new selections of pastries each week. The Belgian waffles were one of the most delicious waffles I have personally had in a long time. They are pretty big and can easily be shareable. You can get the waffles topped with blueberries, strawberries, bananas, and homemade whipped cream. We also ordered beef and bean empanadas, which were also very tasty. They make various flavors of empanadas, which are baked and not fried each morning. 

ByGood Coffee also has whole and ground beans you can buy by the bag, loose-leaf teas, mugs, shirts, and paintings by local artists. The owners are friendly and helpful for any questions you might have about their coffee. You can enjoy your beverages and food inside and outside or take it to go.
