Carver Lake Bike Park Is an East Metro Hidden Gem.

Carver Lake Bike Park is absolutely one of our favorite spots to visit in the warmer months. This is a great spot for kids of all ages. It's typically not busy, and the older bike riders are patient with little ones who are using training wheels, scooters, or balance bikes. If you don't have a quiet place for your children to practice riding bikes, come here. This is such a great spot to practice and learn new skills. The course is decent sized, and you can easily watch from anywhere on the paths. A couple of benches and picnic tables are near the entrance, a great spot to watch from if your children are old enough and experienced enough to do the course themselves. Otherwise, it's a nice spot to grab a snack or water break.

The biggest downfall to the park? No real bathrooms, just a porta-potty. The course is laid out for a variety of experience levels: bicycle playground, tot track, pump track, and an advanced skills loop. The advanced trail loop includes dirt rollers, wooden berms, wooden technical trail features, and rock gardens. My 7-year-old could do most of the advanced trail himself. He is a fairly experienced rider, though. Beyond the laid-out course is miles of an off-road cycling trail, which is perfect for much older kids and teens.

After spending a couple of hours on the bike track, make your way over to 3rd Act Craft Brewery and grab some pizza and pints while you play board games with the kiddos.
