Cazadero Trail is a flat bike and hiking trail with creek access.

This six-mile out and back gravel trail follows the North Fork Deep Creek and is great for bikes, strollers, dogs, and hiking with kids.

Parking for this trail is behind the gas station in Boring. This trail fills up in the summer and on hot days since there is creek access. There is no fee to park or use this trail, and there are no bathrooms. A few geocaches are along the trail.

The trail starts at the kiosk and map in the parking lot and is mainly flat. It is lined with blackberry bushes in the summertime, which is fun for the kids to stop and grab a few berries along the walk. A powerline runs along the trail as well, and you’ll be able to see Mountain View Golf Course on your left as you walk along. When we were on the trail in the summer, a couple of horses passed us, so this is a multi-use trail and make sure you let the horses have the right of way. Dogs are allowed on the main trail on leash.

About a mile in, you’ll come to a fork where the start of Metro’s 18-acre Deep Creek Natural Area is on the left side. Look for the sign. The trail will take you along the creek which has some great spots to do some wading in the summer (which is one of the reasons why it can get packed when it gets warm out). Since this is a Natural Area, dogs are not allowed on this section of the trail.

If you’re looking for a paved path for bikes instead, across the street is the Boring Station Trailhead, which has a playground and paved bike path.
