Cesar Solis Park has plenty of open grass space, two play structures, a skate park, multiple picnic tables & a walking path.

Cesar Solis Community Park is a fairly new park - it opened in September of 2018 and it is nestled at the top of Ocean View Hills. Its location is between a middle school and an elementary school. An interesting fact: it is named after a retired police chief who served and protected his community in the South Bay area.

The children will be fascinated by the playground's wilderness theme. Around the playground is soft cork flooring with a sandbox. There are two separate shaded play structures, the smaller play structure is for ages 2 through 5 and the larger play structure is for children ages 5 through 12. Children can go down the many different slides, walk across the bridges, play on the swings, hop on the artificial logs or boulder rocks, run in and out the small playhouse and practice imaginative play in the sandbox.

Some of the amenities the park has to offer include plenty of open grass space for drone and kite flying, two baseball diamonds for softball or baseball, a walking path that goes around the park, shaded gazebos with charcoal grills, a large skate park, a concession stand which is open during events and a restroom building which includes gender-neutral as well. Dogs are welcomed but do require to be on a leash at all times and disposable dog baggies are available throughout the park. Unique quotes are engraved onto the ground from notable figures in history which makes the park memorable for children and parents alike.

Cesar Solis Community Park is a unique and fun place to spend the day outdoors, take a relaxing walk along the path or sit and enjoy the scenery of the highway. It is preferable to visit the park after school based on school traffic.

The skate park is fully gated and skateboarding, skates and rollerblading are permitted. The hours for the skate park are from 9:00 am to Dusk.

Approximately 2 miles north of the park is Palm Ridge Shopping Center, the shopping center has many small shops and our favorite is Tapioca Express, they have a variety of teas and coffee. They also have items delicious snacks for the family.
