Splash, Swing, Slide and Climb with your Kids in Northwest DC.

This playground has fun features for kids of all ages and interests, with multiple slides, bucket swings, and climbing equipment in an enclosed space. There's also a splash pad with multiple fountains spraying into the air during the summer season.

There is a separate playground that is not within the fence that has big kid swings, a steep slide, monkey bars, and climbing structures. 

Know Before You Go

The enclosed playground has some shade, but the unenclosed playground is in the full sun.  Be sure to bring sunblock to reapply and hats for you and the kiddos. This enclosed playground also gets packed and can be quite chaotic and it's definitely more popular with younger kids though, as mentioned, there are multiple structures in the unenclosed playground that appeal to bigger kids.

There are basketball courts, tennis courts, and baseball diamonds in the park as well.

Restrooms are available in the adjacent recreation center when it is open. The property nestles up to the border between the District and Maryland which is Western Avenue in that neighborhood.

The Friendship Heights Metro Station is less than half a mile from the playground, which is right where you will find The Shops at Wisconsin Place, a popular center with great places to eat and shop.

Nearby Bites and Activities

For a convenient and delicious lunch, stop by Jetties Chevy Chase on the way to the playground, less than half a mile away. 

If the weather begins to turn, or you just need a place to cool off, Busy Bees Chevy Chase is conveniently located about a five to ten-minute walk from the playground and the Chevy Chase Neighborhood Library is two minutes away.
