CHS Field in the lower town area of St. Paul is a great summer spot to check out a AAA Minor League Baseball Game.

Going to see a Saint Paul Saints baseball game here is a great family outing. CHS Field is known as the greenest ballpark in America with 7210 seats. It is so family-friendly and there is much more for kids to do here besides sit and watch a game. I would highly suggest getting to the field a bit before the game starts. Kids can check out the play area. Next to the play area they occasionally have a climbing wall open for extra money and there is typically a ball toss game set up. The best part of the kids' area, you can easily watch the kids and take a peek at the field at the same time so if your kids get stir crazy, head over there and you won't miss the game. Before each game, as you walk in, they have employees picking random people to do fun activities on the fields. It's fun games to watch between innings. My kids were lucky enough to be able to hold a finishing line for a game.

When purchasing tickets online be sure to check out what the theme or fun activity is for the day you are purchasing for. Some nights they have fireworks or a movie on the field after. Other days they have princesses, superhero's, animal days or another fun activity.

No outside food or beverage is allowed. But there is plenty of delicious food and beverages available for purchase. There are multiple stands for beer, cocktails and wine. Lots of local beers to try here. Locally owned Von Hansen's has a booth here along with Steakadelphia, probably the most popular vendor with the helmet nachos and Philly sandwiches. There are a few other vendors throughout the stadium as well. Credit card only.

CHS Field is also home to City of Baseball Museum, a 2000+ square foot space. It is free to visit and located inside the stadium along the 3rd Base Concourse. The museum includes images and artifacts. It's was built to connect baseball history to what is happening on the fields today.

A couple of big pluses for families include a nursing room and multiple family restrooms located throughout the stadium.

After having fun at the game, head over to Tin Whiskers and play some games, grab a beer and get food from Black Sheep Pizza next door.
