Coolidge McClaine Park has a playground in downtown Silverton with many restaurants nearby.

This cute park has a large pavilion perfect for hosting a family reunion or birthday party. There are many trees surrounding the park and grassy areas to run around. There are two play structures close to each other so that you can keep an eye on both big kids and smaller kids. My kids enjoyed the big kid area because multiple sets of slides came in threes. My twins and their new friend each had a slide and had a contest of who slid down the fastest. There were numerous sets of swings, picnic tables, bbq grills, and horseshoe pits. There were quite a few people walking their dogs around the paved paths. The bathrooms and park were clean and well-maintained.

There's a stream by the park where you can sit and let the kids or yourself enjoy during the hotter months. Don't forget your sunscreen, towels, and life jackets. There are life jackets available here for the kids if you forget them. There is also a pedestrian bridge that goes over the stream that you can take downtown. You can stop at Silverton Coffee Station for a cup of joe or have lunch at one of the many restaurants and breweries. Silver Falls Brewery Ale House has a great selection of beers and kids menu items. 

We stopped here on our way to camp at Silver Falls State Park. The area was frozen which made the ground really hard.
